The card_name and card_name cards have an insane offer of 90,000 points after spending $6k within the first 3 months. This is huge as you can easily get approved for both cards and earn a total of 180,000 points!
The even greater news is that it is very likely you can get approved again for these cards even if you already got them in the past.
In this post, let’s discuss some data points for which Chase rules are currently being enforced and which ones not.
Got bonus within 24 months
There was never an official rule on the Ink cards against getting the bonus again, even if you have gotten them in the past.
But the unofficial rule used to be that the same person applying for the same business can get the bonus on the same Ink card only once in 24 months.
But right now, many people are able to get the same card again even way before 24 months and even on the same business. Currently, data points are showing the above rule being enforced only about 60% of the time.
But even with the above rule being enforced:
- The same person can get the same Ink card on a different business at any time.
- A different person can get the same Ink card on the same business at any time.
- The same person can get a different Ink card on the same business at any time.
Chase 5/24 rule
Some people were able to get approved even when being above the 5/24 rule but others are getting declined. It seems like the rule is waived for many people but not for everyone.
Max 2 cards in 30 days
You used to only be able to get approved for a max of 2 business cards within 30 days.
Currently, I’m seeing many data points of people being able to get a third business card as well!
One year credit history
In order to get approved for the Ink cards, you usually need a minimum of 1-year credit history. Data points show this rule currently being enforced 90% of the time.
If you have a Chase checking account with over $10k inside then you have a slightly higher chance of bypassing this rule
If you get approved you get the welcome bonus
And last but not least, it’s important to note that with Chase, there is no such thing as getting approved and not getting the welcome bonus. If you’re not eligible for the welcome bonus you will get declined for the card. If you got approved then it’s automatic that you will also get the welcome bonus.
