$300 Capital One Travel credit

Every cardmember year you receive a $300 travel credit when booking any travel, including flight, hotel, and car, using the new and improved Capital One Travel portal.  

Capital One recently partnered with Hopper and created a brand new experience for their travel portal. The travel portal offers competitive pricing and a whole lot of great perks not found anywhere else, including;

• Predictive booking feature: It lets you know when it’s the best time to book
• Price drop protection: If you use the predictive booking feature but later find that the price is cheaper on a different day then Capital One will match the price
• Price freeze: This allows you to freeze a price and book up to 14 days later
• Price match guarantee: Capital One will match any price you find anywhere else within 24 hours of booking 
• Cancel at any time for a small fee: This feature will allow you to cancel your flights even on non refundable tickets for a small upfront fee. The feature is not yet available but will be coming soon

All these benefits make it a no-brainer to book with the Capital One Travel portal. Plus, with the Venture X card, you will receive a $300 travel credit on all travel booked through the Capital One Travel portal plus up to 10 points for each dollar spent on hotels and cars, and 5 points on flights!

Enroll in TSA Precheck or Global Entry and receive a statement credit towards the fee paid. All you need to do is pay the fee with your Venture X card and the credit will automatically be applied to your statement.

Complimentary Hertz President's Circle Status

Travel insurances

The Venture X card comes along with various travel insurances. Here are the details.

Trip Cancellation Insurance: 

Coverage for canceled or interrupted travel due to an unforeseen medical emergency etc. Max $2,000 per person for non-refundable airfare.

Auto Rental Collision Insurance: 

Primary coverage for on rentals for collision damage and theft (excluding Israel, Jamaica, the Republic of Ireland, or Northern Ireland). Coverage is for rentals for up to 31 days.

Travel Accident Insurance: 

Get coverage if you, G-d forbid, die in an accident while traveling or lose a limb, sight, speech, or hearing (on common carriers). Receive up to $1,000,000 in compensation.

Lost Luggage Reimbursement: 

Get up to $3,000 per trip for lost or damaged luggage. Max is $2,000 for NY residents.

Trip Delay Reimbursement: 

If your flight is delayed for 6+ hours, you can claim up to $500 per person to cover expenses like meals, lodging, toiletries, medication, and other personal use items.

Purchase protections

Here are the details of the various purchase protection benefits that come along with the Venture X card.

Return Protection: 

Not happy with a purchase? Get a refund on purchases that have passed the store return policy – up to 90 days from the date of purchase. Max $300 per claim, max $1,000 per year.

 Extended Warranty Protection: 

Get your original manufacturer’s warranty time-matched (up to a year). (Will only cover if the original warranty is for 3 years or less). Max $10,000 per claim, $50,000 per account.

Cell Phone Protection: 

Get reimbursed for up to $800 per claim (with a $50 deductible) if your cell phone breaks or gets stolen. To activate coverage, you need to pay your monthly cell phone bill with your Venture X card. Max 3 claims per year.

Purchase Protection: 

Get refunded if your purchase is damaged or stolen, up to 90 days from the date of purchase. Max $10,000 per claim, $50,000 per account.
