Update: Offers expired
The offers were raised on 4 Marriott cards. They are all-time high offers, so they are definitely worth jumping for if you’re planning a stay at any hotel under the Marriot program (The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, EDITION, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Marriott Vacation Club, Delta Hotels, Le MERIDIEN, Westin, Renaissance Hotels, Gaylord Hotels, Courtyard Hotels, Four Points, SpringHill Suites, Protea Hotels, Fairfield Inn & Suites, AC Hotels, Aloft Hotels, Moxy Hotels, Marriott Executive Apartments, Residence Inn®, TownePlace Suites, element, Homes & Villas by Marriott International, Autograph Collection Hotels, Design Hotels, Tribute Portfolio).
It’s now a great time to build up your points reserve.
Welcome offer eligibility
Marriott cards have a very weird way of calculating their welcome offer eligibility.
For Chase Marriot branded cards (Marriot Bonvoy Bondless and Marriot Bold) you will not get approved for the card if you are a current cardmember of any Chase Marriott card or you received a welcome bonus on any Chase Marriot card within the past 24 months. The welcome bonus is also not available if you received a welcome bonus on any Amex Marriot card within the past 24 months( If you opened an Amex Marriott card but did not receive a bonus then the timeframe is 90 days).
For Amex Marriot branded cards (Marriot Bonvoy Brilliant and Marriot Bonvoy Business) you are not eligible to receive a welcome bonus if you received a welcome bonus in the past for the same card or for the former SPG card (Marriot Bonvoy Brilliant card = Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Luxury Card and the Marriot Bonvoy Business card = Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express). The welcome bonus is also not available if you received a bonus on any Chase Marriot card within the past 24 months (If you opened a Chase Marriott card but did not receive a bonus then the timeframe is 90 days).
So to sum it up, at Chase you can only receive a bonus for any Marriott card (including Marriot personal cards, business cards, Chase, and Amex) once within 24 months. And with Amex, you can receive a bonus once in a lifetime on each Amex Marriott card as long as you did not receive a bonus on any Chase Marriott card within 24 months (still confusing? what can I do…).
