Update: Offers expired.
Thecard_name and card_name cards have an insane offer of 90,000 points after spending $6k within the first 3 months. This is huge as you can easily get approved for both cards and earn a total of 180,000 points!
Such an offer is not something that I wanted to miss. After seeing some reports that Chase is even approving people who are above 5/24. I decided to apply for both cards for myself and my wife applied as well. We are both way above 5/24, but I decided to take the risk.
I’m happy to report that my wife and I were both approved for the ink cards, despite being above 5/24.
So we will be earning a combined 360,000 points! This is besides that a few months ago I was able to get approved for the card_name as well, despite being above 5/24, as well as the card_name (through a DocuSign app).
We are not the only lucky ones!
Many people reported being approved above 5/24 in our credit card database.
You can see data points here 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
Some have even been blacklisted by Chase in the past 1, 2,
Plus, Chase is even approving cardholders who already have the card; some within the last few months even for the same business! 1
Usually the rules for getting the same card again is as follows:
The same person applying for the same business can get the Ink bonus once after 24 months (not an official rule but in real life I see this to be 90% true).
The same person can get the same Ink card on a different business at any time.
A different person can get the same Ink card on the same business at any time.
These offers are ending very soon. Don’t delay. Get it now.
What's the Chase 5/24 rule?
In June of 2015, Chase issued a rule which is now famous as the 5/24 rule. The rule basically means that anyone who has opened 5 or more personal credit cards within the past 24 months, cannot get approved for any Chase credit card.
Any personal credit card from any bank that was opened in the last 24 months will count towards the 5/24 rule. It does not make a difference if the account is still open or already closed.
Authorized users do not count towards the 5/24 rule, but you may need to call the reconsideration department (phone number: 1800-453-9719) in order to get approved because the computer approval system sometimes does not pick up the difference between an individual account and an authorized user account.
