Earn 130,000 points after spending $2,000 within the first 3 months. Plus earn an additional 50,000 points after spending a total of $10,000 within the first 6 months.
To earn the full bonus you need to spend $10,000 within 6 months. Spending $10k can be tough for a young couple with few expenses. But you can still earn 130k points by just spending $2,000 within 3 months. Spending $2k should be pretty affordable for most couples.
The points earned are Hilton points which you can redeem for free nights at any Hilton hotel. The points will surely come to use on your honeymoon as Hilton has 6,110 hotels across 6 continents. You’ll surely find one of them at your destination!
Easy to get approved for
You don’t need much credit history which makes it easy to get approved for this card. Newlyweds starting out will mostly not have enough credit to get approved for many cards, making the Amex Hilton Surpass low approval requirements awesome for them. Currently, approvals for the Hilton card tightened up a drop but we see many approvals being reported for applicants that have a minimum of six months credit history.
Lounge access - Priority Pass
The Hilton Surpass card is the cheapest card, $95 annual fee, that includes Priority Pass lounge access. Receive 10 free Priority Pass lounge passes annually. Access to an airport lounge will make your flight so much more comfortable.

Ah! With the Amex Hilton Surpass, you get complimentary gold status at Hilton hotels. With Gold status, you will receive many perks which include complimentary room upgrades (upon availability), free snacks and beverages, bonus rewards, and more
