Why I Recommend The Amex Hilton Surpass For A Honeymoon

- May 23, 2021 Credit Card Info0 comments

It’s so good to see newlyweds planning their honeymoon once again after so much of what has been going on. I’m happy to be getting questions again on which credit card is best for such a trip.

HelpMeBuildCredit.com is here to provide you with accurate info and facts about the different credit card options. Not recommendations (as the other guys do…. I see it all the time, the cards that are recommended are the cards that pay the most in commission……). Our goal is to educate you about the facts of each card so you can make your own informed decision.

That said, here are some “facts” about the Amex Hilton Surpass card that might work out for you especially if you’re a newlywed planning a honeymoon vacation.

Amex Hilton Surpass

Let’s go through the details of the Amex Hilton Surpass card and why it may be a good choice for a young couple planning a honeymoon.

Great welcome bonus

The Amex Hilton Surpass card currently has an awesome welcome offer.

Here are the details

Earn 130,000 points after spending $2,000 within the first 3 months. Plus earn an additional 50,000 points after spending a total of $10,000 within the first 6 months.

To earn the full bonus you need to spend $10,000 within 6 months. Spending $10k can be tough for a young couple with few expenses. But you can still earn 130k points by just spending $2,000 within 3 months. Spending $2k should be pretty affordable for most couples.

The points earned are Hilton points which you can redeem for free nights at any Hilton hotel. The points will surely come to use on your honeymoon as Hilton has 6,110 hotels across 6 continents. You’ll surely find one of them at your destination!

Easy to get approved for

You don’t need much credit history which makes it easy to get approved for this card. Newlyweds starting out will mostly not have enough credit to get approved for many cards, making the Amex Hilton Surpass low approval requirements awesome for them. Currently, approvals for the Hilton card tightened up a drop but we see many approvals being reported for applicants that have a minimum of six months credit history.

Lounge access - Priority Pass

The Hilton Surpass card is the cheapest card, $95 annual fee, that includes Priority Pass lounge access. Receive 10 free Priority Pass lounge passes annually. Access to an airport lounge will make your flight so much more comfortable.
