The end of the year is coming up. We’ll be closing up 2024 soon and with it, there will be millions of dollars in credit card annual credits that will be expiring.

Make sure your portion of the millions of dollars in credits does get used. 

Annual credits sometimes go based on the cardmember’s anniversary year and in that case, every cardmember has a different end date according to when they opened the card. But some annual credits go based on the calendar year, which expires on January 1st for all cardmembers. In this post we’ll discuss the credits that are based on the calendar year and will be expiring January 1st.

Here is our end of year checklist 2024 addition. 

If you have any of the following cards, make sure to use the credits before the end of the calendar year. You don’t want any unused credits to go to waste. Use them asap.

Amex

card_name (all flavors) (Annual fee $695)

These are the credits for card_name that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $200 airline incidental fee credit (here are some creative ways they can be used).
• $200 statement credit for prepaid Fine Hotels and Resorts and The Hotel Collection bookings made through Amex Travel.
• $199 statement credit for Clear
• $50 statement credit at Saks Fifth Avenue (You get a total of $100 in statement credits each calendar year for purchases at Saks Fifth Avenue – a $50 statement credit from January through June and a $50 statement credits from July through December)
• $300 Equinox statement credit per calendar year
• $100 statement credit for Schwab Holdings greater than $250,000, or a $200 statement credit for Schwab Holdings greater than $1,000,000, per calendar year (only on The Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Charles Schwab)

Make sure to use also these monthly credits now, before the month is up:

• $12.95 monthly Walmart+ Membership credit. It covers the full cost of a Walmart+ membership.
• $20 per month on Digital Entertainment purchases at the following providers: Disney+, The Disney Bundle, ESPN+, Hulu, Peacock, The New York Times, and Wall Street Journal. Enrollment is required (you can get a total of  $240 credit per year).
• $15 in Uber cash per month plus get a bonus of $20 this month of December (you can get a total of $200 a year, once this card is added to your Uber account and it’s selected as the payment method for your Uber or Uber Eats transaction). Credits can be used for UberEats orders or Uber rides in the US.

card_name (Annual fee $695)

These are the credits for card_name that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $200 airline incidental fee credit (here are some creative ways they can be used).
• $200 statement credit at Dell (You get a total of $400 in statement credits for purchases at Dell per calendar year – up to $200 between January and June and up to $200 between July and December). 
• $90 Indeed credit (You get a total of $360 in credits for purchases made at Indeed – up to $90 each quarter).
• $199 statement credit for Clear per year
• $150 annual Adobe subscription credit.

Make sure to use also these monthly credits now, before the month is up:

• $10 per month on wireless purchases made on your card (you can get a total of $120 credit per year).

card_name (Annual fee $250)

There are no credits for the card_name that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year, but use these monthly credits now, before the month is up:

• $10 Uber cash credit per month once your card is added to your Uber account (you can get a total of $120 a year). Credits can be used for UberEats orders or Uber rides in the US.
• $10 statement credit per month for purchases at Grub hub, The Cheesecake Factory, Goldbelly, Wine.com, and Five Guys. You must enroll in this benefit (you can get a total of $120 a year).
• $7 Dunkin’ Credit per month for purchases at a U.S. Dunkin’ location. You must enroll in this benefit (you can get a total of $84 a year).
• $50 in statement credits semi-annually for eligible Resy purchases. You must enroll in this benefit (you can get a total of $100 a year).

card_name (Annual fee $375)

There are no credits for the card_name that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year, but use these monthly credits now, before the month is up:

• $12.95 monthly credit to cover the full cost of a Walmart+ membership.
• $20 monthly statement credit for eligible U.S. purchases at either FedEx, Grubhub, or Office Supply Stores.

These are the credits for the card_name that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $199 statement credit for Clear

These are the credits for the Hilton Honors Amex Aspire Card that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $200 statement credit at Hilton resorts (You get up to a total of $400 per calendar year – $200 each half a year). 
• $199 CLEAR statement credit per calendar year.
•  $50 credit for paid flights booked directly with the airline or on Amex Travel (You get up to a total of $200 in credits per year – $50 each quarter). 

Amex Hilton Surpass Card (Annual fee $150)

There are no credits for the Amex Hilton Surpass Card  that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year, but use these quarterly credits now, before the quarter is up:

• $50 credit each quarter for Hilton bookings (You get up to a total of $200 in credits per year)

The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card (Annual fee $195)

There are no credits for the The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card  that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year, but use these quarterly credits now, before the quarter is up:

• $60 credit each quarter for Hilton bookings (You get up to a total of $240 in credits per year)

Bank Of America Premium Rewards Elite Credit Card (Annual fee $550)

These are the credits for the Bank Of America Premium Rewards Elite Credit Card that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $300 airline incidental statement credit per calendar year to cover purchases like seat upgrades, luggage fees, inflight service, and airline lounge fees etc.
• $150 in statement credits per calendar year for lifestyle purchases, including streaming services, food delivery, fitness subscriptions, and rideshare services.

Barclays

RCI Elite Rewards Mastercard (Annual fee $0)

These are the credits for the RCI Elite Rewards Mastercard that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $250 credit towards an RCI vacation after spending $10,000 each calendar year

JetBlue Plus Card (Annual fee $99)

These are the credits for the JetBlue Plus Card that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $100 credit for using your card for a JetBlue vacation package each calendar year.

JetBlue Business (Annual fee $99)

These are the credits for the JetBlue Business that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $100 credit for using your card for a JetBlue vacation package each calendar year.

Citi

card_name (Annual fee $95)

These are the credits for the card_name that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $100 credit when you book a single hotel stay of $500 or more, excluding taxes and fees, through CitiTravel.com, once per calendar year

card_name (Annual fee $595)

These are the credits for the card_name that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year:

• $120 in credits on Avis and Budget car rentals each calendar year.

Make sure to use also these monthly credits now, before the month is up:

• $10 credit statement each month on Grub hub purchases.
• $10 Lyft credit after your first 3 rides each month.

Citi AT&T Points Plus Card (Annual fee $0)

There are no credits for the Citi AT&T Points Plus Card that will be expiring by the end of the 2024 calendar year, but use these quarterly credits now, before the quarter is up:
