Lowe’s and Home Depot are just two of many home improvement retailers. If you are renovating or refurbishing your home, you can save yourself money by getting a credit card that earns rewards on home improvement purchases and construction.
Hop along for the best credit card options for construction and home improvement purchases.

All of the above cards have capped spending amounts for the rewards. Best credit card to use at Lowe’s

Home improvement rewards: Earn 5% off at Lowe’s stores in the U.S, and on Lowes.com
Lowe’s Business Rewards Amex Card
Annual fee: $0

Best credit cards for construction material
The only card that will give you extra rewards for the construction category is the Amex Platinum Business card.
Earn 1.5 points on credit card swipes totaling $5,000 or more and for swipes at construction material, hardware suppliers, electronic goods retailers, software and cloud system providers, and shipping providers.
Since the card only earns 1.5 points on construction, you’re better off using the Capital One Spark Plus card for 2% cashback on all purchases or any other 2% cashback card for your construction expenses (unless you value Amex points a lot and the Amex 1.5 points gives you more value than the 2 points at Capital One).
