Approvals Are Going Strong On The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card And Why It’s Our Favorite Basic Travel Card

The card_name still has the all-time high offer of 100K points after spending $5,000 within the first 3 months!!

Approvals are going extremely strong. Many people are catching the offer like hot cake! If you want the card, get it out now! The offer is so rare, you can’t afford to wait and miss it!

It’s Hot, Hot, Hot!

Why is the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card so great?

You keep hearing me mention that the card_name is my favorite basic travel card.

Here are all the reasons that give it the fave status. Trust me, it’s good!

1. Low annual fee

The annual fee on the card_name is only $95.

For the benefits you get with the card, this price is a really low investment of your money.

2. Points are worth 25% more when redeemed through Chase Travel (SM)

With the card_name, you can use your Chase Ultimate Rewards to pay for travel purchases through Chase Travel at a rate of 1.25 cents per point!

That’s a 25% higher value than the regular. For many people, this benefit alone is all they need to make it worth it for them to pay the $95 annual fee (it depends on how much Chase Ultimate Rewards you accumulate annually).

On Chase Travel, you can book almost any travel, such as airline tickets, hotels, car rental, activities, and more (similar to Expedia).

3. Great benefits for a low-cost card

You would think that for $95, you would get silly benefits. But not with the card_name!

The following travel benefits aren’t luxurious, but are definitely giving you a bang for your buck.

Auto rental collision insurance: Get worldwide primary coverage on rentals (for N.Y. residents, insurance is secondary). Coverage is for rentals up to 31 days.

Foreign transaction fee: No foreign transaction fee. Shop abroad like a boss with your shiny metal card while you pay no foreign transaction fees.

Lost luggage reimbursement: Get up to $3,000 per person for lost or damaged luggage.

Luggage delay insurance: If your baggage is delayed for 6+ hours, you can claim up to $100 per day to cover expenses like toiletries & clothing, for up to 5 days.

Roadside assistance: Get roadside service assistance for $59.95 per call.

Travel accident insurance: Get coverage if you, G-d forbid, die in an accident while traveling or lose a limb, sight, speech, or hearing (on common carriers). Receive up to $500,000 in compensation.

Trip cancellation insurance: Coverage for canceled or interrupted travel due to an unforeseen medical emergency etc. Max $10,000 per person and $20,000 per trip for non-refundable travel expenses including flight tickets, hotels, and more.

Trip delay reimbursement: If your flight is delayed for 12+ hours, you can claim up to $500 per trip to cover expenses like meals, lodging, toiletries, medication, and other personal use items.

Now that’s a nice list of benefits and protections to assure you a safe trip.

Besides, you can also enjoy purchase benefits such as purchase protection and extended warranty.

4. Get a $50 annual hotel credit

With the card_name, you get a $50 annual hotel credit each cardmember year. The credit will apply for any hotel stay booked through Chase Travel (once per year).

5. 10% anniversary bonus

At the end of each card anniversary year, Chase will give you another 10% anniversary bonus points when you renew your card_name

The 10% will not be based on points you earn, it will be based on the amount you spend. In other words, welcome bonus points, or extra points you earn for purchases such as dining, do not get the 10% anniversary bonus. Only the first point you earn on purchases you make on the card will earn the 10% bonus.

For example:

If you earned 130,000 points within a cardmember year through the following breakdown:

  • 100,000 points through a welcome bonus.
  • 5,000 points through spending $1,000 for Chase Travel
  • 9,000 points through spending $3,000 on online groceries
  • 16,000 points through spending $16,000 on all other purchases.
  • Total amount you spent = $20,000

The total amount of points earned = 130,000

The total amount of anniversary bonus points you will earn is 2,000 (not 13,000)

6. Earn 5 points through Chase Travel

With the card_name, you earn 5 points for every dollar you spend on travel booked through Chase Travel. This is basically like a 5% discount on any travel you book.

7. You can transfer points through Chase Travel to many airline and hotel partners

This is the cheapest Chase card that allows you to transfer points through Chase Travel to so many airline and hotel partners!

You can transfer your points to any of the following Chase Travel Partners at a 1 to 1 ratio.

Airline partners

Aer Lingus, AerClub

Air Canada, Aeroplan

British Airways, Avios

Emirates, SkyRewards

Air France/KLM, Flying Blue

Iberia, Iberia Plus

JetBlue, TrueBlue

Singapore Airlines, KrisFlyer

Southwest, Rapid Rewards

United Airlines, MilagePlus

Virgin Atlantic, FlyingClub
