We have been getting many requests within the past few days about which Mastercards have car rental insurance.

Many local car rental companies stopped accepting Visa or Amex rental insurance (CDW) due to issues with claim payouts.  Right now many local car rentals are only accepting Mastercard coverage.

So, as we always fill the needs of our readers, we put together a list of all Mastercards that offer auto rental insurance.

In this case, Chase Mastercard's won't help you

The following Chase cards are all Mastercards but since the claims are processed through Chase, they are giving the same issues as Visa and Amex regarding payouts, so many local car rentals won’t accept them.

Frequently asked questions
Which card can I get with auto rental insurance without having any credit?
Currently, the easiest card to get with no credit that has auto rental insurance, is the Amex Blue Cash Everyday after being an authorized user on an Amex card for a few months
What's the difference between primary and secondary auto collision insurance?
Primary will cover even if you have other coverage. Secondary will not. The difference is mostly only applicable if you have auto insurance and don't want them to pay as your premium will go up
Do any cards come with car rental liability insurance?
Not that I'm aware of. They only cover collision
